Banana and Nutella Stuffed French Toast Recipe

This quick and easy recipe for Banana and Nutella Stuffed French Toast is the best thing you can make for breakfast.  

INGREDIENT

– 8 bread slices (1-inch thick) – 1/4 cup Nutella hazelnut spread – 2 bananas, sliced, plus additional for serving – 3/4 cup heavy cream – 4 eggs, lightly beaten – 2 teaspoons cinnamon – 1 Tablespoon sugar – Butter, for frying – Maple syrup, for serving

INSTRUCTION

Cut a hole in the middle of each slice of bread with a sharp knife, being careful not to cut the bread in half.

Step 1

Place some Nutella in the middle of each pocket, and then add sliced bananas on top of that. Set a big pot over medium-low heat and add enough butter to cover the bottom of it well. Do not smoke the pan, but make it hot.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, cinnamon, and sugar. Then, dip each filled bread pocket into the mixture, making sure that all sides of the bread are fully saturated. Do it again with the rest of the filled bread pockets.

Step 3

It will take about three minutes on each side to cook the egg mixture on the wet bread slices. Do this in batches.

Step 4

Add more banana slices to the top of the French toast, and serve it warm with a drizzle of maple syrup.
