Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps Recipe

These Chicken Lettuce Wraps taste just like the ones from the famous P.F Changs restaurant. Ground chicken, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, hoisin sauce, water chestnuts, and a touch of brown sugar and hot sauce. Serve with some bib lettuce for the best ground chicken lettuce wrap.

– 1 teaspoon sesame oil – 1 lb ground chicken – 1 small white onion finely diced – 2 garlic cloves minced, pressed, chopped, or paste – ¼ teaspoon salt – 1/4 cup hoisin sauce – 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce – 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar – 2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger or ginger paste I use ginger paste in the tube – 2 teaspoons brown sugar – ½ teaspoon siracha hot sauce – 1 can (8 oz) water chestnuts drained and chopped – 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onion – Butter lettuce OR bib lettuce

Add sesame oil, ground chicken, onion, garlic, and salt to a skillet over medium-high heat.

Crumble chicken until cooked through and no longer pink. Drain if necessary.

Add hoisin, soy, rice wine vinegar, ginger, brown sugar, siracha, and chopped water chestnuts.

Step 3

Mix well and boil for 5 minutes. Mix green onions with ground chicken and serve in lettuce wraps.
