Chocolate Strawberry Nutella Turnovers Recipe

FOR THE TURNOVERS – 1 17.3-ounce package frozen puff pastry, thawed according to package direction – 1 and 1/2 cups chopped strawberrie – 2 tablespoons granulated sugar – 1 tablespoon cornstarch – 2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate roughly chopped (about 1/2 cup) – 1/4 cup Nutella – 1 egg white lightly beaten FOR THE GLAZE: – 1 ounce semi-sweet chocolate roughly chopped (about 1/4 cup) – 1 teaspoon Nutella optional

Turn the oven on to 400°F. Put a silicone baking mat or parchment paper on a sizable baking sheet and set it aside.

You will have eight square pieces after unrolling and slicing each puff pastry piece into four equal-sized squares.

Mix strawberries, sugar, and cornstarch in a Big Bowl. Place strawberries, chocolate, and Nutella on 8 puff pastry pieces, leaving one corner vacant. One corner fold and fork-crimp filling containment.

Top turnovers with egg white and bake on sheet. Bake two batches. Bake till puffed and golden brown @ 400°F 15–18 minutes. After baking, let cool for 10 minutes.

Pour Nutella and chopped chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl. Continue stirring after 20-30 seconds in the microwave until melted and smooth. Pour glaze on turnovers.
