Easy Crockpot Salsa Chicken Recipe

This 4-ingredient slow cooker salsa chicken requires no chopping! Salsa Chicken comes in moderate or spicy varieties and multiple servings. Super tender, shreddable chicken with taco seasoning, Rotel tomatoes, and your favorite salsa.  

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast – ½ teaspoon kosher salt – ¼ teaspoon black pepper – 2 packets taco seasoning – 1 can (10 oz) mild Rotel diced tomatoe – 1 cup salsa

Spray the crockpot insert with cooking spray.   Dry chicken breasts with paper towels after rinsing them cold.

Chicken breasts should be in the crockpot bottom. Season the chicken with taco kosher salt, black pepper, and taco spice packets.

Pour the Rotel tomato and salsa can over the chicken. Cover the chicken; if you need to, use a spoon to spread the sauce out.

Step 3

Cook on low for 6-8 hours with the cover on. Chicken should be tender, easily shreddable, and have an internal temperature of 165℉.

Step 4

After the chicken is done, use two forks to shred it directly in the slow cooker, in a bowl with an electric hand mixer like the restraints, or on a cutting board with two forks and then return it to the crockpot. Serve and relish!
