Easy Homemade Mini Corn Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENT

– 1 (12-oz.) package hot dog – 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal – 1/2 cup all-purpose flour – 2 Tablespoons sugar – 2 teaspoons baking powder – 1/8 teaspoon salt – 1 large egg – 1/2 cup whole milk – Vegetable oil, for frying

INSTRUCTION

Cut each hot dog in half and insert a lollipop stick into the cutoff end. Hot dogs should be thoroughly dried using paper towels.

Step 1

Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk egg and milk in a measuring cup. Mix the wet and dry ingredients with a spoon or spatula.

Step 2

Pour 4 inches of oil into a big, heavy-bottomed stock pot. Attach the deep-fry thermometer and heat oil on medium-high until it reaches 360ºF. Place paper towels on a platter.

After coating each hot dog, lightly shake off the excess batter and drop it into the heated oil.
