How to Make Chicken Salad the Southern Way

Traditional Southern Chicken Salad with a creamy dressing and great seasoning. A delicious pickle relish mayonnaise dressing covers tender chicken, eggs, and celery.   

– 3 cups cooked chicken  – 3 hard-boiled eggs chopped – 1/2 cup finely diced celery – 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish – 1/2 cup mayonnaise – 1 tablespoon dijon mustard – 1 tablespoon lemon juice  – 1 teaspoon paprika – Salt & black pepper

Put the cooked chicken and chopped hard-boiled eggs in a big bowl. To mix, stir together.

Cut up the celery and sweet pickle sauce and add them to the bowl. Use a stir to mix.

Mix the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until everything is well mixed.

After adding the dressing to the chicken salad, make sure everything is well mixed with the creamy sauce.

Place the chicken salad in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, but no more than 1 to 2 hours, before serving.

Give the flavors time to blend. I recommend southern-style chicken salad on buttery croissants or green greens. Serve it with bread for dipping.
