INGREDIENTS

For the cupcakes: – 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 cup malted milk powder – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/2 cup whole milk For the frosting: – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened – 2 cups confectioners' sugar – 1/4 cup malted milk powder – 2-3 tablespoons whole milk – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP-1

Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Use cupcake liners. Mix flour, sugar, malted milk powder, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl.

STEP-2

Cream melted butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl until frothy. Beat eggs one at a time until well integrated. Add vanilla extract.

Bake cupcakes for 18–20 minutes in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.

STEP-6

Cool the cupcakes in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

STEP-7

While cupcakes cool, make icing. Mix softened butter until smooth in a large bowl. Stir in confectioners' sugar and malted milk powder until frothy.

STEP-8

Add vanilla extract and milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the frosting is the right consistency.

STEP-9

After the cupcakes cool, generously cover them with malted milk frosting. To add flavour and decoration, sprinkle malted milk powder or crushed malted milk balls. Savour your Malted Milk Frosted Cupcakes!
