Maple Pecan Crescent Cinnamon Twists Recipe

Refrigerated crescent dough maple pecan cinnamon twists are perfect for brunch, snacking, and delicious breakfast treats in 20 minutes. Pecan cinnamon-filled buttery crescent dough baked flawlessly! Enjoy maple-powder sugar glaze.  

– Cinnamon Twist – 1/2 cup finely chopped pecan – 2 tablespoons brown sugar – 1 tablespoon granulated sugar – 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury refrigerated crescent roll – 2 tablespoons butter melted – Maple Glaze – 1/2 cup powdered sugar – 1/4 teaspoon maple extract – 1-3 tablespoons milk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare a cookie sheet with cooking spray or parchment paper.

Mix pecans, sugars, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.Unroll both crescent dough cans and cut each into 4 rectangles (2 crescent triangles).

Press the holes to join the crescent triangles. You get 8 dough rectangles. Sprinkle a generous 1 tablespoon of pecan/sugar mixture over melted butter on each rectangle.

Repeat per rectangle. Roll the rectangle tightly like cinnamon rolls from the long side. Seal edges with pinches.

Step 4

With a sharp knife, split each roll in half lengthwise. Each rectangle yields 2 rope twists. Twist the pieces together.

Step 5

Use the prepared cookie sheet. Repeat with the remaining pieces.  Bake until puffed and golden brown, 10-13 minutes.

Step 6

Glaze after 10-15 minutes chilling. To prepare glaze, mix ingredients in a small dish till desired consistency. Add milk and powdered sugar to thicken or thin glaze.
