Pumpkin Spice Waffles Recipe

This is a family favorite recipe for Pumpkin Spice Waffles that are crispy and fluffy.  

INGREDIENT

– 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar – 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon ground ginger – 1/4 teaspoon ground clove – 4 large egg – 1 cup whole milk – 1 cup buttermilk – 1 cup canned pumpkin – 6 Tablespoons (¾ stick) unsalted butter, melted – Chopped pecans, for serving (optional) – Maple syrup, for serving (optional)

INSTRUCTION

Put the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves in a big bowl and mix them together using a sieve.

Step 1

Add the eggs, milk, buttermilk, pumpkin, and melted butter to a different big bowl and mix them together using a whisk.

Step 2

Put the dry ingredients into the bowl with the wet ones and mix them together by folding them in just a little. (There will be some lumps in the batter.)

Step 3

Heat up the waffle iron and lightly oil or spray it with cooking spray. In the waffle iron, put some batter in, then cover it and cook it until it's done.

Step 4

Take the waffle out of the pan and do it again with the rest of the waffle batter. You can add chopped nuts and maple syrup to the waffles if you want to. Serve right away.
