Pumpkin Turkey Chili Recipe

This pumpkin turkey chilli recipe is healthy and filling, and it only takes 20 minutes to make. Ideal for fall. 

INGREDIENT

– 2 Tablespoons olive oil – 1 medium onion, diced – 1 green pepper, diced – 3 cloves garlic, minced – 1 1/2 teaspoons salt – 2 teaspoons ground cumin – 1 pound ground turkey – 1 (15-oz.) can diced tomatoe – 1 (15-oz.) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained – 1 (10-oz.) can condensed tomato soup – 1 cup water – 1 (15-oz.) can pumpkin purée – Sour cream, for garnish (optional) – Chopped scallions (green parts only), for garnish

INSTRUCTION

Set a big pot with a heavy bottom (a Dutch oven) over medium-low heat. First put in the olive oil. Then add the peppers, garlic, onions, cumin, salt, and ground turkey.

Step 1

Cook the turkey until it's done. Besides the chips, sour cream, and onions, add the rest of the ingredients.

Step 2

Slowly cook the chilli over low heat for about 30 minutes, or until the peppers and onions are soft. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3

Put sour cream, cheese, and onions on top of the chilli when you're ready to serve it.
