Smoked Turkey SaladHeat the oven to 350°F. Toast pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet for 7–9 minutes until aromatic and darker.
STEP-2
Cool fully. Chopped coarsely. Check out my piece on chopping nuts faster. Set aside.
STEP-3
Cut dried cherries in half. Soak them in boiling water until softened. Expel the water.
STEP-4
Cube the turkey into ½" squares.Mix turkey, cherries, celery, bleu cheese, and pecans. Mix well.
STEP-5
Salad Dressing Mix mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Add to salad and combine well.
STEP-6
Test for salt and cayenne. Mayonnaise and smoked turkey are salty, so I rarely add more. To make it spicier, add cayenne. Making this the day before lets the flavours blend.
