Spicy Cucumber Tea Sandwiches Recipe

Tea sandwiches aren't always the most flavorful, bold, and zesty food. They're small, crustless, and served with English tea, and sliced cucumber and butter or cream cheese is a popular tea sandwich filling.

– 1 English cucumber – ¾ teaspoon kosher salt – ½ cup fresh cilantro leave – 6 jarred Calabrian chili peppers (or preferred chili variety) – 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese at room temperature – 2 tablespoons mayonnaise – Zest and juice of ½ lime – 8 slices white bread

Paper towel a standard baking sheet and set aside. Take one cucumber end off. Slice the cucumber into thin ⅛-inch slices using a mandoline or chef's knife.

Scatter cucumber slices on the lined baking sheet. Wait 10–15 minutes after evenly salting. Chop cilantro and chilis finely and set aside.

Cream cheese in a medium bowl. Put mayonnaise in and mix. Coriander, chili peppers, lime zest, and juice. Mix well.

Press more paper towels over the sliced cucumbers to absorb excess liquid, then remove.

Slices of bread on a cutting board. Cover slices with cream cheese. Coat over.

Place cucumber slices on four coated bread slices. Press remaining bread lightly to adhere.

Feel free to trim crusts. Tea sandwiches are served whole or in thirds slices.
