Leftover Halloween Candy Blondies Recipe

The best way to use up extras from Fright Night is to make Leftover Halloween Candy Blondies.

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted – 1/2 cup sugar – 1 cup packed light brown sugar – 2 large egg – 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 1/2 teaspoons salt – 1 cup assorted Halloween candy, roughly chopped

Pre-heat the oven to 350ºF. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper that hangs over side. Cover paper with frying spray.

Step 1

Whisk the melted butter, sugar, and light brown sugar in a stand mixer with the whisk attachment for 2 minutes until smooth. Whisk in eggs and vanilla.

Step 2

Remove the stand mixer bowl and toss in flour, baking powder, and salt until combined. Mix in ½ cup of Halloween candied treats.

Step 3

After leveling the batter in the pan, sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of Halloween candy on top. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 4

After the pan cools, remove the blondies using the parchment paper overhang, cut into 16 squares, and serve.
