Pasta With No-cook Tomato Sauce Recipe

Try this cool and refreshing recipe for pasta with tomato sauce that doesn't need to be simmered.

INGREDIENT

– 1 pound uncooked pasta, such as spaghetti or bucatini – 2 pounds ripe tomatoe – 4 medium cloves garlic, minced – 1 Tablespoon dried oregano – 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional) – 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar – 1/2 cup pine nuts, toasted – 1 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese – 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil – 1 (8-oz.) ball of burrata – Fresh basil leaves, to garnish

INSTRUCTION

As the water boils, add salt to a big pot. It will take about 10 minutes of cooking after you add the pasta until it is al dente. You can make the sauce while the pasta is cooking.

Step 1

Cut the tomatoes in half and remove and throw away the seeds. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces and put them in a big bowl.

Step 2

Add the garlic, oregano, chilli flakes (if you want), red wine vinegar, pine nuts, cheese, and olive oil. Mix the sauce together, then add salt, pepper, or sugar to taste (if you like).

Step 3

After draining the pasta, put it right into the bowl with the tomato sauce and mix it well.

Step 4

Place some pasta in each bowl, and then add some burrata and fresh basil on top of each. Serve right away.
