Pork Pots tickers with Citrus-Soy Dipping Sauce Recipe

INGREDIENT

FOR THE POTSTICKERS: – 1/2 lb ground pork – 1 cup shredded Napa cabbage – 1 2-inch piece ginger, peeled and roughly chopped – 3 cloves garlic, roughly chopped – 2 Tablespoons minced shallot – 3 Tablespoons sliced scallion – 2 Tablespoons soy sauce – 1 Tablespoon rice wine vinegar – 1 Tablespoon brown sugar – 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil – 25 gyoza wrapper FOR THE CITRUS-SOY DIPPING SAUCE: – 1/2 cup soy sauce – 1 Tablespoon sugar – 2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice – 1/4 cup fresh orange juice – 1 teaspoon sesame oil – 1 Tablespoon chopped cilantro

INSTRUCTION

MAKE THE POTSTICKERS:- Blend pork, cabbage, ginger, garlic, shallots, scallions, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, ½ kosher salt, and ¼ tsp pepper in a food processor. Combine smoothly.

Step 1

The middle of wrappers should include 1 tablespoon of filling. Finger-wet one wrapping edge. Fold and squeeze the wrapper. Potstickers can be pleated or plain.

Step 2

While making the rest, place the potstickers upright on a baking sheet with the folds on top and cover with a damp cloth.

Step 3

Stir vegetable oil into a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Fry one layer of potstickers till golden brown and crispy after swirling oil to coat the pan bottom.

Step 4

Cover the pan with ¼ cup water and steam for 5 minutes until cooked well after browning the bottom. Without a lid, stir potstickers until water evaporates. Sear and steam the remaining potstickers on a paper towel-lined tray.

Step 5

MAKE THE CITRUS-SOY DIPPING SAUCE:- In a medium bowl, mix all the ingredients together with a whisk. Put the potstickers out and give them the sauce to dip them in.
